BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATION
Caring for our pets’ mental well-being and providing an enriching environment is crucial to their health. Behavioral issues not only indicate that our beloved companion is unhappy, but cause a breakdown in the human-animal bond that we so value. Whether getting your new puppy or kitten off to the right start or helping you work your adult dog or cat through a learned behavior, we can provide guidance! Dr. Zimmerman collaborates closely with a number of certified behaviorists and positive reinforcement trainers to provide her clients with the resources needed to create or restore a trusting, loving relationship with their pets.
Should your dog or cat develop severe anxiety, phobias, or insecurities that lead to inappropriate elimination behavior, we can discuss with you supplements and medications to assist in your behavior modification efforts. Remember, drugs are neither the solution nor the sole modality, only an adjunct to appropriate training!
